The partnership together is set to launch 1,00,000 electric vehicles by 2030 for the delivery of online goods.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here is the first reveal of the custom made Amazon electric delivery vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed-youtube wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Amazon&#039;s first custom 100% electric delivery vehicle\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/rJJNTVy62PU?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>As stated on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supplychaindigital.com\/logistics\/amazon-reveals-first-customer-electric-delivery-vehicle\">Supply Chain Digital<\/a>, &#8220;Amazon confirmed it is adding 1,800 electric delivery vehicles this year to its European fleet as well as adding 10,000 electric vehicles to its fleet in India, operating in more than 20 countries by 2025&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.supplychaindigital.com\/logistics\/amazon-reveals-first-customer-electric-delivery-vehicle\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;When we set out to create our first customized electric delivery vehicle with Rivian, we knew that it needed to far surpass any other delivery vehicle. We wanted drivers to love using it and customers to feel excited when they saw it driving through their neighborhood and pulling it up to their home. We combined Rivian\u2019s technology with our delivery logistics knowledge, and the result is what you see here &#8211; the future of last-mile delivery&#8221;, says Ross Rachey, Director of Amazon\u2019s Global Fleet and Products, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supplychaindigital.com\/logistics\/amazon-reveals-first-customer-electric-delivery-vehicle\">published<\/a> on the Supply Chain Digital.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The future of the Supply Chain is sure to transform with the launch of this new electric vehicle. Few of the many innovative features include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;&nbsp; High &#8211; tech sensor detection&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; A large windshield to ensure clear visibility<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Cameras all-round the vehicle connected to a digital display within, in order to provide 360 degree surrounded vehicle view&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; Alexa&#8217;s integration for map routing&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211; A dancefloor within the vehicle for easy movement<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8211;&nbsp; Bulkhead door backed by 3 levels of shelving. Helping storage and added protection for the driver while in transit&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Amazon has committed its support to The Climate Pledge. It is on a massive transformational journey through the electrification of its logistics network. Across the globe, Amazon has already begun online delivery services through the medium of electric vehicles, however, it now aims to expand the same.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;The vehicle we\u2019ve developed with Amazon is not just electric. We prioritized safety and functionality to create a vehicle that\u2019s optimized for package delivery.
